Role Overview:

The Global Macro-Geopolitics Associate will work within Eurasia Group’s geopolitics team to support the analysis of cutting-edge trends at the intersection of international politics and markets. You will assist in developing the firm’s research agenda, conducting research on major political and economic trends, and supporting client projects and initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Global Macro-Geopolitics practice head with research for newsletters, bespoke client projects, and collaborations with regional and sectoral teams.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on topics related to current events, international relations, global affairs, and policy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and stay updated on geopolitical trends and risks on a macro scale.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives based on geopolitical research and analysis.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge base on current events, regional developments, and sectoral trends that impact global geopolitics.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Politics, Political Science, International Affairs, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience focusing on international relations, global affairs, and policy.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to independently conduct research in a specific area of expertise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information and analysis.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for creating impactful presentations and conducting data analysis.
  • Familiarity with geopolitical risks and trends across regions and sectors, with a preference for expertise in a particular topic or region.
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Prior experience with a leading political risk firm, consultancy, or think tank is highly desirable.

 

This position will be based in London. You must have work authorization to work in the UK.
